SVECTOR / Capital Intelligence Unit
Every company
tells a story.
We read the paperwork.
Loan agreements. Customer contracts. Ownership records. The notes at the back of the accounts. The facts are often public. The work is putting them together.
Why the unit exists
The story is easier
to find than the truth
behind it.
A company tells its story through earnings calls, presentations and headline numbers. Its obligations often live somewhere else: in financing definitions, refund clauses, subsidiary guarantees and ownership filings.
The Capital Intelligence Unit is a research practice within SVECTOR's Financial Intelligence business. It reads those records together, follows the flow of value and tests whether the evidence supports the explanation.
The question is simple: what does the company's own record actually establish?
Four questions we keep asking
Does the money add up?
Reconcile the financial statements, customer cash, equipment spending and financing.
What is really owed?
Read maturities, guarantees, lease commitments and the definitions inside debt agreements.
Does the business match the story?
Compare the narrative with customer terms, facility records and operating evidence.
What would change the conclusion?
Test competing explanations and publish the information the record does not establish.
The research standard
The strength of a claim
has to be visible.
We separate what a document states from what management estimates, what we calculate and what remains unknown.
Established
A primary record states the fact, contract term or reported amount. The document and its date travel with the finding.
Indicated
A company estimate, forecast or management description appears in the primary record but has not been independently measured.
Unverified
The reviewed evidence does not establish the proposition. Missing information does not become an accusation.
A company under strain is not the same as a company that has done wrong. The record has to decide the difference.
